Reading Bus to travel to different countries on September 8

Compatriots living abroad are invited to join the Reading Bus campaign, the campaign’s website reports. It will be held on September 8th, when International Literacy Day will be celebrated in different countries. The action is organized by the Notebook of Friendship association.

Enthusiasts among schoolchildren, their parents and teachers will read out their favorite poems in public transport in their localities. The purpose of the action is to bring together reading enthusiasts and literacy connoisseurs from around the world.

To take part in the action, you will need to form a group of five to fifteen people, fill out an application, learn the literary work by heart and read it in the shuttle transport next Sunday, September 8.

Participants are also invited to illustrate the selected work in the «notebook of friendship» and present it to passengers of transport at the end of the reading.

The project organizers will study the video reports on the event and will award the winners. The final video will be composed of report fragments and posted online in social networks.
