Musicians from England, Canada and US to perform at Kaliningrad festival

Performers of classical music from four countries were included in the program of the international Territory of the World - Territory of Music festival, which will be held in Kaliningrad from August 30 to September 11. On Friday, August 30, the festival will be opened by the English pianist George Harliono, who will play the compositions of Bach, Beethoven and other classics, Culture.RF reports.

Concerts will be held on the territory of the cathedral, located on the island of Kant. On the last day of summer, Canadian organist Jonathan Embry is going to perform his Eternal Temple program there. Earlier that day, a children’s section of the festival is going to take place - young spectators will be shown a musical performance in the open air and talk about the process of creating musical instruments. 

The festival will end with combined concerts. On September 5, famous Russian musicians will give When We Were Trees concert and on September 11, American organist James Higdon and singer Galina Kuznetsova, will enter the gala concert stage. The international duo will include in its extensive program the compositions of the Soviet and Russian composer Mikael Tariverdiev.
