The Russian-Chinese program of translation and publication of books of classical and contemporary literature of both countries will be doubled in volume, TASS reports.

According to the deputy head of Rospechat Vladimir Grigoryev, the number of events will reach hundreds. This is stated in the agreement signed by representatives of Russia and China. The ceremony was held in Beijing, where the international book fair takes place.

Moscow and Beijing plan to expand support for the release of Chinese literature in Russian and Russian literature in Chinese. If earlier the works of fiction were in the center of attention, now books on history and philosophy, mostly written by modern authors, will be added to them. Up to date, both countries have already published more than ninety books. Most of them are included in the exposition of the book exhibition.

Russkiy Mir reported that at the Beijing fair, a separate stand was reserved for books released during the Program of translation and publication of Russian and Chinese classical and contemporary literature. It has been held for seven years.

Russia and China release libraries of each other’s’ contemporary literature in fifty volumes.
