Citizens of more than thirty countries have already visited Kaliningrad since the introduction of electronic visas, the RuBaltic.Ru information agency reports.

According to the head the regional Agency for International and Interregional Relations Alla Ivanova, the introduction of electronic visas can be called a real success of Russian diplomacy. She noted that this year more than sixteen thousand people already visited the westernmost region of the country. Among them are many tourists from European countries. Many of them leave positive reviews. Most of the guests come from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Germany.

Russkiy Mir reported that from July 1, foreign citizens from 53 countries can enter the Kaliningrad Region with electronic visas. The list of countries is approved by the Russian government. Visas are issued free of charge and can be single-entry business, humanitarian or tourist.
