Russian pavilion at Canadian festival treated guests with dumplings and kvass

The Russian pavilion opened on the territory of the Heritage festival, which was held in Edmonton, Canada. The festival brought together dozens of participants and thousands of spectators of different nationalities. There was a line of people near the Russian pavilion wishing to try Russian dishes, listen to Russian songs, purchase painted dolls and other souvenirs from Russian masters, the press service of the organizations of Russian compatriots of Canada reported.

The event was held with the participation of the Association of Russian Cultural Heritage; dozens of volunteers from the Russian-speaking community of Edmonton helped its representatives in organizing the Russian pavilion.

The bright pavilion with the Russia sign above it and the girls in sarafans and kokoshniks at the entrance attracted the attention of hundreds of guests, the was a line waiting to visit it during almost entire festival. The pavilion hosted the Matryoshka and Khokhloma ensembles, who performed during the festival. The guests had the chance to buy traditional souvenirs and antiques and try kvass, dumplings, vinaigrette and other dishes and drinks of Russian cuisine.
