Delegation of Japanese schoolchildren came to Sakhalin through exchange program

The children from the Japanese city of Wakkanai, who showed prominent results in studies, sports and creative work, visited the city of Korsakov of the Sakhalin region. The visit took place in the framework of youth exchanges between the regions. The guests were hosted by the families of the town, a rich cultural and educational program was prepared for them, ASTV television company reports.

The Sakhalin trip will begin with the city museum tour accompanied by the city authorities and the staff of the Wakkanai representative office in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. According to the head of the social development department of the Korsakov District Grigory Golodnikov, youth exchanges help build trust and friendship between the residents of the two countries. 

The Japanese guests visited sights of Korsakov and the Sakhalin region, walked around the park and played volleyball in the mixed teams at the main sports complex of the city. The Japanese guests reflected the trip to Sakhalin as an exciting journey.

In the near future schoolchildren from Korsakov are waiting for a return visit to Japan.
