International Street Theater Festival opens in Tyumen

Tyumen hosts the international street theater festival called Dreams of the streets, the website of the Association of Journalists and Foreign Media reports. For almost a decade and a half, performers from all over the country and from many countries from all over the world have been gathering in the ancient northern city. The forum occupies a prominent place in the cultural life of Tyumen, it is eagerly awaited by fans of modern art. The current festival is included in the program of the national Culture project.

The cultural forum united several sites at once. Performances of creative teams will be held in the open air.

Spanish and Argentinean artists, guests from Moscow, Samara and local actors will demonstrate their talents and skills. The theater project Miracle, the dance theater Graffiti, the workshop CAPSULA and the musical group DileMMa will take the stage.

Street interactive master Loco Brusca from Argentina will introduce viewers to the seriouscomedy genre, while the Spanish band Residual Gurus will play instruments made from pipes, cans and garbage cans. Virtuosi on stilts will present the street theater Plasticine rain from Samara. Theater Mimicry will show the play on the myths of ancient Egypt. 

Last year the number of viewers was about twelve thousand people. Almost eighty theatrical groups have become participants of the festival during its existence
