Osipov State Russian Folk Orchestra celebrates 100th anniversary today, July, 15, TASS reports. This day 100 years ago the musician performed on stage for the first time.

According to the artistic director Vladimir Andropov all the coming season is going to be held in the frames of that date. The gala concert on September, 19 in Tchaikovsky Concert Hall of Moscow is going to be the major event. It will be a kind of special music performance that would cover all important dates of the orchestra existence. Many friends and colleagues will congratulate the orchestra members. The Pyatnitsky Russian Folk Chorus, Bolshoi Theater soloist Vladimir Matorin, Igor Moiseyev Ballet school students, and others. The joint performance of the Osipov Orchestra
with Yurlov Russian State Academic Choir will conclude the night. 100 years ago they have performed together as well.

Traditional Thursday Meetings, kids seasonal tickets and next All-Russia tour to be dedicated to the anniversary, as well.
