The International Music Festival and the Summer Academy of Russian Language and Culture open in the Greek capital on Friday, July 12. The forum will be the 12th in a row. This year it is dedicated to the Cross Year of Culture of Russia and Greece. It is conducted by the KEDROS SIN organization, which does a lot to strengthen ties between Russia and Greece in the field of culture. The organizers invited Russian-speaking musicians to participate. They came to Athens from more than a dozen different countries. Novice performers, teachers and musicians, whose names are already well known to the audience, will also take part.

Numerous workshops and concerts are planned. Famous Russian soloists and teachers are involved in them. The entrance is free.

According to Elena Kondratova, who heads KEDROS INS, a large-scale action is an effective platform to strengthen Russian-Greek cultural dialogue, and to promote it in other countries. In addition, the festival aims to popularize Russian language and Russian performing school. It also presents an excellent opportunity to establish creative ties between Russian-speaking representatives of art in different countries.

The program of work of the Russian LanguageThrough Music creative laboratory will include master classes in acting and stage speech based on Stanislavsky's teachings. They are conducted with the assistance of Russkiy Mir Foundation.

One of the events in the framework of the Music of Russian Word program is dedicated to the quarter-century anniversary of Vladimir Spivakov International Charitable Foundation, with which the festival has been cooperating for many years.
