Romansiada in San Marino and Italy Competition of performers finished

The 3rd Romansiada in San Marino and Italy International festival-competition of Russian romance performers was held from June 28 to July 7. Project organizers are LACA eV, ART13 Association for the Support of Art and Talents, and Moscow House of Romance with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.


This year the best Russian romance performers from Germany, Chile, Russia, Denmark, Italy and other countries gathered on the stage. The jury consisted of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Galina Preobrazhenskaya, opera singer Valery Likhachev (Denmark), Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Biserov, and Giorgio Croci (Italy).


High-class professionals and amateurs, authors of romances, students of music colleges and conservatories and young talents demonstrated their skills. The winners gala concert and the award ceremony took place at the old Titano Opera House. There were workshops and a discussion of plans for the next year.


Protopresbyter Seraphim (Corallo), General Provost of the Republic of San Marino and the Middle Adriatic, Rector of the Cathedral of the Presentation of the Church of Our Lady and of St. Nicholas in Rimini blessed Romansiada in Italy and San Marino as a good undertaking in support of Russian culture abroad.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture of San Marino, Marco Podeski, said that the republic is open to other cultures, and Russian culture, represented by Russian romance, is very interesting and important to the residents and guests of San Marino.

Anastasia Corallo (14 years, Italy), Natasha Muggheo (13 years, Italy) and participants from Russia - Varvara Verkhovskaya (13 years) and Angelina Dorofeeva (12 years) became the best in theHope of Romansiada nomination. Elnara Myuermans from the Netherlands, Ekaterina Zhitar, Sergey Komarov, Oleg Krapchetov and Natalia Romanova from Russia, Bruno Vargas from Chile, and Regina Bendinskaite from Germany were the best among the professionals.


Several participants from the Netherlands, Italy, Chile and Russia were invited to perform in the State Kremlin Palace at the concert from the Stars of the Romansiada in Kremlin series as part of the concert program of the International Day of Russian Romance.
