Orchestra of Russian folk instruments to perform on Russia Day in Berlin

Songs in five languages, Russian folk and melodies from favorite movies will be performed on June 12 in Berlin at a concert by soloists from the Academic Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments of the Russian State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company.

The Musical Kaleidoscope concert, dedicated to the Day of Russia, will be held in the Russian House of Berlin, DGBerlin news portal reports.
 
Leading soloists of the famous group will perform music from movies, Russian folk melodies in orchestral processing, as well as classical and pop songs in Russian, German, Polish, Serbian and Hebrew. A special place in the concert will be taken by the performance of the Bolshoi Theater singer Daria Davydova.

The orchestra was created on the All-Union Radio several months after the Great Victory - at the end of 1945. Over the years, world celebrities of the classical and pop scene have performed and made records with the orchestra - Sergey Lemeshev, Irina Arkhipova, Iosif Kobzon and others. The orchestra has performed in dozens of countries around the world.

Russkiy Mir reported that another Russian orchestra, the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra, conducted by Valery Gergiev, was on tour in Germany a week before the Day of Russia. The renowned team performed in Berlin and Dresden.
