MSU, MFTI and MEPI were included in the top three best Russian universities according to the version of the RAEX agency. The reputation rating included 100 leading Russian universities. In addition to the universities of Moscow, universities from St. Petersburg and Tomsk reached top 10, TASS reports.

17 places in the top 30 universities of Russia are occupied by educational institutions from the capital. In addition to universities from these cities, regional universities in the top 30 are represented by universities from Novosibirsk, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Rostov-on-Don and Vladivostok.

Rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy explained the university’s success with its “harmonious development in many areas”.

As part of the study, the compilers of the ranking conducted a survey of students throughout Russia, asking them to indicate the pros and cons of the universities in which they study. Students highly appreciated the quality of education. Among the weaknesses they noted poor interaction of universities with employers. In addition, a third of respondents called the involvement in the scientific activities that the university provides them low.
