11th International Festival of Ceramics Art takes place in Gzhel

22.05.2019

The international festival of ceramics art dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Gzhel State University is held in Gzhel. The program of celebrations includes an exhibition and a competition of works by creative teams and individual participants from Russia and foreign countries, round tables on issues of culture and art and industrial education, master classes in pottery and painting.
The Russkiy Mir Foundation is a partner of the university where foreign students are trained. In 2017 and 2018, young ceramists from Salvador arrived to study at the university with the financial support of the foundation.

On May 22, Sergey Skryabin, the adviser to the executive director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, passed the congratulations from the management of the organization and handed the rector of the university Boris Ilkevich a commemorative medal of the Foundation for his contribution to the preservation of Russia's historical and cultural heritage.

Shortly before the anniversary of the university, a delegation of the Russkiy Mir Foundation headed by Executive Director Vladimir Kochin visited the university. During the visit, representatives of the foundation had the opportunity to see how Latin American students study in Gzhel. Issues of expanding cooperation between the two organizations were raised in the conversation with the university’s administration.
