The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has arrived in Russia, TASS reports. His armored train stopped at the station of Vladivostok on Wednesday, April 24. Kim Jong-un was met by the governor of the Primorye Territory, Oleg Kozhemyako, the head of the Russian diplomatic mission in the DPRK, Alexander Matsegora, and the deputy foreign minister of the Russian Federation, Igor Morgulov. They were joined by the members of the delegation of the DPRK, who flew to Vladivostok the day before.

Russkiy Mir reported earlier that the negotiations of Kim Jong-un Russian President Vladimir Putin were scheduled for April, 25. They will be held on Russky Island, where the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University is located. Classes for students were canceled because of safety reasons as Kim Jong-un would live on the island.

The summit’s agenda, according to the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, mainly touches upon "the development of bilateral relations" and "discussion of the problem of denuclearization." The two leaders are also going to discuss trade and economic issues.

After the meeting the Russian leader will go to Beijing, where he will take part in the second forum of the Chinese Belt and Road initiative.

Kim Jong-un will remain in Vladivostok for an extensive cultural program. It is planned that he will explore the sights and places his father visited before. Kim Jong-il's visit to Russia took place in 2002.
