TV series about Russian Empress Catherine II, which was partially filmed in Russia, will be released worldwide in September 2019. The series about Catherine II became a large-scale and expensive project with a star cast of actors, impressive scenery and costumes, open-air shooting and extras. According to Sky Atlantic, viewers will see the eventful life of the court of Russian Empress. The authors call Catherine II "the most powerful woman monarch in history," as well as a strong-willed, independent and brilliant intellectual. "She would be the ideal of a modern woman," press release reports.
