Schoolchildren in Central African Republic (CAR) can start learning Russian language, Federal News Agency reports.

Representatives of Russia came to the country to study the possibility of including Russian language in the school curriculum. They are scheduled to meet with the Head of state, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education. They will discuss the inclusion of Russian language in school programs and programs of higher educational institutions.

Even during the existence of the Soviet Union, African Republic cooperated with Moscow, and Russian language was studied not only in schools, but also in institutions.

According to him, a number of the largest politicians in Central African Republic, including several presidents, studied in universities in Moscow and Leningrad and spoke Russian.

At a meeting with modern CAR students who study at Russian universities, Mapenzi called on them to learn Russian, since Russia and the CAR expect long-term cooperation.
