Flowers of Russia Festival to launch in Dusseldorf for the first time

Flowers of Russia Festival starts on Monday, April 8, in Dusseldorf, Germany, Russia’s Ministry of Culture reports on its website. The forum is dedicated to gifted children and their creativity, it is a part of the program of the Russian Seasons.

The festival program includes performances, concerts, discussions, round tables and master classes. It also includes Russia through the eyes of a child exhibition– young artists contributed their works for it.

The discussion entitled Teaching technology and socio-cultural aspects in language education in Germany and Russia is also on the schedule.

Students of the ballet school, acting at the German Opera, will be invited to a master class. It will be held by the winner of the Golden Mask award Daria 

Another round table discussion - Socio-cultural and cultural competence in teaching Russian as a foreign language - will be held in the Russian school Sprachinvest. Teachers and methodologists are going to discuss the difficulties faced by Russian as a foreign language teachers.


An interactive exhibition of dolls will be available for adults and children in the Kunstpalast museum.It has been brought to Germany from St. Petersburg by the Puppet Theater named after Demmeny.

Young musicians will also perform during the forum. They will perform works of Russian and foreign musical classics at the Russian Souvenir concert.
