The presentation of the new edition, which includes issues of Sorrentinskaya Pravda (Truth of Sorrento), was held in Naples, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes. Maxim Gorky published this manuscript newspaper along with his guests and relatives while living in Italy. Four newspapers were released. Until this moment the wide public didn't have opportunity to see these issues.

According to researches, Gorky was engaged in this publication in order to support the cultural life of the Russian Sorrento. The magazine, published in a single copy, had a jokingly ironic orientation. It included humorous stories, poems and caricatures of Gorky himself and the guests who visited his villa. All the plots were based on real cases from the life of the writer's inner circle. His son Maxim Peshkov was responsible for the illustrations.

Deputy Head of Gorky Institute of World Literature Daria Moskovskaya explained that each magazine was a large notebook. She is confident that the new edition is a very important event in the history of the Institute. This book worthily marked the anniversary of Gorky. Prior to this, journals were stored along with the entire archive of the writer.

The book has 175 pages in A3 format. Thousands numbered copies were published. The publication contains not only the facsimile reproduction of the pages of the journal, but also scientific articles and comments revealing the historical, literary and biographical events of that period. As Russkiy Mir reported, Gorky's 150th anniversary was celebrated last year.
