Thematic Russian language session starts at Children's camp Orlyonok

Russian language session started at Russian Children's Center Orlyonok on Monday, April 1. Pushkin Russian Language Institute is holding it, Rossiyskoe Obrazovanie website reports.

Two hundred people will gather on the Black Sea coast. They are students of Russian schools from almost 50 regions. Children from the republics of former Soviet Union will join them. Schoolchildren from Kazakhstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Estonia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Tajikistan have passed a rigorous competitive selection. 

In total, more than 400 applications were submitted for the competition. Children had to send their portfolio and write an essay. 

Russian as Language of Education, Science, Art, Business and Рigh Еechnology session will last for 21 days. During this time, students will be able not only to relax, but also to improve their level of proficiency in Russian. They will attend master classes in Russian language, literature, culture and art of Russia, lectures on Russian scientific achievements, technology and business. Intellectual games, round tables and thematic quests will be organized. 

Schoolchildren will be taught to develop projects designed to popularize Russian language, culture and literature. After studying the relevant course, they will prepare collective projects that will receive expert evaluation. 

Leading teachers of Pushkin Institute and volunteers of the Ambassadors of Russian Language in the World program will conduct the classes.
