MSU entered top 100 best universities of the world

Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) took the 90th place in the list of the best universities in the world, according to Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) global analytical agency. The authors of the study analyzed data from thousands of universities worldwide. The list included 26 Russian universities; five of them entered the top 300, TASS reports.

Moscow State University took the highest position among Russian educational institutions. State universities of Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Tomsk, and Bauman Moscow Technical University (MSTU) entered top 300. According to QS subject rating, which was published earlier, Russian universities reached top 100 in one or more subjects, receiving a total of 25 places.

Russkiy Mir reported that this result became the best one in the last 15 years. Almost all Russian universities included in the study improved their performance in comparison with the previous year. 

Saint Petersburg Mining University has the strongest position in the subject ranking among Russian universities. The university took the 19th place in the ranking list on Engineering and Mining subject. Moscow State University confirmed its leading position among Russian universities in this rating as well. It entered the top 50 in five educational disciplines.
