Vietnamese-Russian Friendship Festival held in Hanoi

700 schoolchildren and students from Russia and various provinces of Vietnam took part in Multifaceted Vietnam. Multifaceted Russia festival. Hanoi branch of Pushkin Institute of Russian Language became the organizer of the cultural event, which was held in the historic quarter of Vietnamese capital, Vietnamese newspaper NhanDan reports.

The festival is timed to the Cross Year of Culture of Russia and Vietnam and the 25th anniversary of signing the Treaty on the basic principles of friendship between the two countries. The festival opened with celebrations in honor of President Ho Chi Minh, who did a lot for friendship between Vietnam and Russia. The event was held with the support of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Board.

During the concert, young artists from the two countries showed the performance, revealing the features of folk art of Russia and Vietnam. Hosts of the festival prepared creative gifts for guests from Russia, such as Russian folk songs and dances.

Russkiy Mir quoted Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who declared 2019 and 2020 the Cross Years of Russia and Vietnam. According to Sergey Lavrov, the program will include several hundred events.
