Alina Zagitova won figure skating World Championship in Japan

Russian athlet Alina Zagitova won gold medal of the World Championship in figure skating, RT TV channel reports. She became the youngest winner of the World Championship in women's single skating over the past two decades. The tournament takes place in Japan. 

Zagitova reached the top of the podium at the age of 16. She also became the first Russian woman who won all titles in women's figure skating: on the Olympics, World and European Championships and the Grand Prix series finals. Russian figure skater scored more than 155 points in free program. In total, she scored more than 237 points. 

Another representative of our country Evgenia Medvedeva won bronze medal.

This is the first victory at the World Championship for Alina Zagitova. Evgenia Medvedeva has already won two gold medals of world championships.
