Russian and Greek youth take part in Second Athens forum

Participants of the Second International Forum will discuss how to hold celebrations of the the Victory Day in Athens today, March 22. Russian-speaking people from Greece and local students learning Russian as a Second language take part in the event organised by the Youth Board at the Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots (KSORS), reports website of the Moscow House of Compatriots.

Russian Center for Science and Culture in Athens hosts the forum. Headed by the KSORS director Yevgenia Krichevsky, the event will include discussions on topics of the Victory Day celebrations, review the past year outcome adjust plan of 2019 and exchange opinions on 2018 youth programs.

As Russkiy Mir reported earlier, the first youth forum was conducted by the community of Russian compatriots living in Greece. Almost 150 people took part in it. The main task of the event was to summon up last year results, to exchange opinions about the most interesting events, discuss plans for the coming year. Besides, another purpose was consolidation of young generation of compatriots. Another important topic was 2018 declared as Volunteer’s Year in Russia, which concerns the compatriots’ movement and the youth directly.
