Conference on bilingualism and teaching Russian language abroad opens in Spain

Teachers of Russian as native and as foreign language from schools and centers of additional education, and parents of bilingual children will take part in Bilingual Child in Family and School conference. It starts in Alicante, Spain on Friday, March 15. The international forum is being held for the second time, Facebook reports. 

Russian Word Union of Teachers of Spain, Parus Center of Russian Language and Culture in Alicante, Olympia Association of Parents of Bilingual Children, and Znayka Educational Center of Russian Center in Madrid associations are the organizers. The forum is held with the assistance of Russkiy Mir Foundation and the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in Spain. 

Participants and guests of the conference together with Russian and Spanish philologists, psychologists and teachers will discuss the features of integration, training and education of bilingual children. 

The conference will bring together leading experts in field of teaching Russian in a bilingual environment. Experts from Pushkin Russian Language Institute, teachers of leading educational centers in Spain, and teachers of Russian universities are among them. 

The conference will work for two days. Its program will include lectures, workshops and discussions on important issues of children's bilingualism. An exhibition of contemporary educational, psychological and children's literature will be timed to the forum.
