Russia and Luxembourg launch university exchange program

Prime Ministers of Russia and Luxembourg, Dmitry Medvedev and Xavier Bettel agreed on the launch of the university exchange program. They reported this at the joint conference that followed the meeting. Countries are also preparing a program of bilateral cooperation in field of culture for the period from 2019 to 2021, the website of Russian Government reported.

The relevant protocol of Russian-Luxembourg Commission was signed during the visit of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to Luxembourg. The signing ceremony was held in presence of Prime Ministers of both countries, Dmitry Medvedev and Xavier Bettel. Heads of departments of culture Vladimir Medinsky and Sam Tanson signed the document. 

The document outlines the prospects for bilateral cooperation in fields of culture, education and science, archival affairs, sports, youth exchanges, tourism and other areas. 

Luxembourg side is going to promote and popularize the study of Russian language in Luxembourg. In addition, it is planned to develop exchanges in field of science and culture. More attention will be paid to youth and student exchanges and strengthening contacts at the regional level.
