Songwriter Evgeny Krylatov celebrates 85th anniversary

Russian-Soviet popular music composer Evgeny Krylatov celebrates 85th anniversary on February, 23, TASS reports.

Krylatov is famous for songs which he composed for over 120 Soviet and Russian movies and animated films. Composer was awarded People's Artist of Russia in 1994. Krylatov worked with most recognised Russian poets, such as Bella Akhmadulina, Evgeny Evtushenko, Yuri Entin

Beyond songs, Evgeny Krylatov wrote ballets,m symphonic and chamber music, music for drama theater, radio and TV. He's became famous after The Adventures of the Elektronic iconic kids movie made in 1980. 


Composer still cooperates with filmmakers. His latest score is written for the film Margarita Brotherhood.
