Russian Ballet Theater by Anna Grogol will start a large tour in Germany on March 2. It is included in the program of Russian Seasons international cultural project. Moscow Theater will show Swan Lake in 5 cities, and will present Sleeping Beauty in Cottbus. Thanks to Anna Grogol’s collective, classical Russian ballet is seen by the audience not only in European countries, but also in African and Asian countries, which are much less likely to be covered by a ballet theater tour, Russkoe Pole reports.

The tour of the Russian Ballet Theater will start in Leipzig. The performances will take place in palaces of culture and concert halls of Cottbus, Dresden, Würzburg, Karlsruhe and Fulda. The repertoire of the Russian Ballet Theater, created in 2002, includes 39 classical ballet performances. It can be called one of the most touring theaters in Russia. Moscow troupe gives up to 250 performances in different parts of the world in the year.

After Germany, the Theater will move to Sweden, where it will complete a big tour.

Moscow troupe became the first Russian theater that brought Russian ballet to East African countries. The team consists of professional dancers who graduated from the best ballet schools in Russia.

Russian Seasons festival opened in the Berlin Philharmonic with a concert by the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev in early January 2019. Russkiy Mir reported that the festival program would cover 77 cities in Germany, in which more than 450 events will take place.
