Russian Embassy in China has opened a special section dedicated to Soviet military burials and memorials in China on its website. According to Russian Ambassador Andrei Denisov, an interactive map and information provided will help ascertain the fate of the relatives who died in various wars in China, TASS reports.

The ambassador said that the representatives of China showed great interest in the resource and soon it will be translated into Chinese.

It is known about the existence of 83 Chinese memorials dedicated to Soviet soldiers. Work on the establishment of unrecorded memorable places continues, and the list can be updated.

According to the Ambassador, a lot of work with information sources preceded the opening of the portal. Publication of information about the individual graves of Soviet soldiers will allow their relatives and friends to identify the burial place and the circumstances under which the soldier died. The description contains links to websites of Russian Ministry of Defense, where more extensive information is presented.

The portal is a map of China with symbols of regions and localities. Places of military graves and monuments are indicated by asterisks, which indicate the number of memorial objects.

According to the map, the largest number of them is located in northeastern China, since there was a war with Japan during the World War II. The page of each object contains a photo and description, telling about the time of installation of the monument and the events that preceded it. The pictures show that most of the objects receive good care.
