Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra presents Russian Fairytales concert

Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra will hold a Russian classical music concert, Russian Bulgaria website informs. Musicians prepared the new program called Russian Fairytales, which includes the works of Russian composers. Fragments from Prince Igor opera by Borodin, The Firebird ballet by Stravinsky and Glazunov’s Concert for Violin with Orchestra to be performed. 

Mstislav Rostropovich's student, Italian maestro Carlo Tenan for the first time conducts Bulgarian orchestra. 

Violinist Bojidara Kouzmanova will perform with the orchestra. Music critics consider her as one of the most interesting musicians. Many composers create their works expecting her to play it. Bojidara shared that she was looking forward to play Glazunov’s concert considered a masterpiece due to its technical complexity along with its optimistic vibe.
