Russian sweets conquered Chinese market

Russian manufacturers will be selling candies and chocolate in China via Internet platforms. One of the main online stores Alibaba will join this project, which might be implemented in 2019. The popularity of Russian sweets in China and increasing demand became the reason, Izvestiya infroms.

According to Russian Ministry of Agriculture, online stores that sell Russian sweets will soon appear on China’s major trading venues. Candies, chocolate, cookies, waffles and cakes produced in Russia have already acquired popularity of Chinese consumers. Russian companies that produce chocolates and sell it in China have earned more than 122 million USD in 2017. The integration with Internet tools will allow Russian producers increase sales several times. It is not only about large manufacturers, but also regional candy factories. 

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Russian confectionary products are being shipped to 55 countries. The most perspective markets are in the countries of South-East Asia, Middle East and Europe.
