Tsereteli’s retrospective exhibition started in London

First retrospective exhibition of Zurab Tsereteli’s works started in London on January 23, RIA Novosti informs. It coincides with artist’s anniversary. He turned 85 on January 4.

The exposition is located in Saatchi Gallery, one of the most prestigious art museums of London. The Ambassador of Russia to the United Kingdom Alexander Yakovenko became one of its first guests.

The exhibition includes paintings, sculptures, enamels and mosaics. These pieces of art show the whole creative experience of the artist since his earliest youth. Films about artist’s life and work also complement the exposition.

According to Tsereteli, he celebrated his birthday in Puerto Rico, where he was looking at the Columbus monument installing. 

Tsereteli works on several project at the same time. His next monument will be dedicated to Adam and Eve. The artist notes that he keeps receiving orders for sculptures from Russia, Argentina, Bulgaria and other countries.
