Russians greeted with standing ovation at the Circus Art Festival in Monte Carlo

43d Circus Art festival started in Monte Carlo, Rosgoscirk website reported. This contest  is one of the most important ones and non-officially called the Circus Oscars.  Best circus performers compete for the prizes. 
The contest is conducted under patronage of Princess Stefania in the French Riviera. Russians have received prizes there numerous times. This year, when Russian circus celebrates its 100 years anniversary, Russian delegation is the biggest one. 60 performers were invited to the French Riviera by the Princess of Monaco.

Royal Circus headed by Gia Eradze opened the festival. Albert II, Prince of Monaco and and Princess Stephanie of Monaco were among the audience were among audience who greeted Russian artists with standing ovation. Royal Circus Ballet shows are considered to be one of the most vivid and appealing circus performances today.
