Vladimir Putin arrived in Serbia

Russian President Vladimir Putin started his formal visit to Serbia with laying wreaths at the memorial to Soviet soldiers and Yugoslav partisans, who died during the country's liberation from fascists. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic came to Belgrade Liberators Park together with Putin, RIA Novosti informs. 

Both President arrived at the memorial from the airport in Putin’s Aurus limousine from the Cortege project. 

Around 700 journalists of 160 accredited media from all over the world highlight Russian President’s visit, the Administration of President of Serbia informed.  

In the negotiations, Vladimir Putin and Aleksandar Vucic will discuss the relations between Moscow and Belgrade in the spheres of economy and trade, and raise the important issues of the regional agenda, including the issue about the continued construction of the TurkStream natural gas pipeline on Serbian territory. Kosovo situation is another important topic.

It is expected that about 20 documents will be signed after negotiations. Putin will also present the Russian Order of Alexander Nevsky to Vucic for the important contribution to increased interaction between Russia and Serbia. “This is a great honour for me and Serbia,” President noted. A representative delegation arrived in Belgrade with Vladimir Putin. 

Putin and Vucic will attend the exhibition dedicated to Russian-Serbian communication in 19-20th centuries in the building of Serbian Chamber.

Russian President plans to meet the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik and Serbian Patriarch.
