Russia-Saudi Fund to Invest $2 Billion in Russia in 2019

Around $2 billion worth of funds from a Russian-Saudi foundation to be invested in Russia in 2019, the CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev confirmed, TASS informs. 

The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) is Russia’s sovereign wealth fund created in 2011 under the leadership of the President and Prime Minister of Russia to co-invest alongside top global investors, acting as a catalyst for direct investment in Russia.

Dmitriev also noted that Russian President discussed with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman al Saud the issue of stepping up Riyadh’s investments in Russian projects during the bilateral meeting on the G20 sidelines on Saturday.
