German television shows Russian Christmas traditions

16.01.2019

In the beginning of December, Bavarian television contacted Russian Center of Nuremberg's Russian-German Cultural Center with an unusual request to tell about Russian Christmas traditions. The Centre staff was pleased to accept it. The representatives of German television were so interested with Christmas kutia (traditional grain dish), that they decided to bring this information to broad masses, and all of this escalated into a real TV project.

At the request of the television, Irina Fixel and Elena Barder organized the filming at the simple kitchen, and acquainted themselves in advance with the historical and culinary information about kutia. The preparation was immense, and the filming lasted for more than 3 hours. Although only 3 minutes of the footage got into the festive TV program, it is common for television format.
