Top 5 most popular Russian cities are Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Krasnodar and Petrozavodsk, Rossiyskaya Gazeta informs.
According to the tour operators, tourists most often booked the accommodation in Saint Petersburg for 4-5 days in 2018. The average price of the room per day was about $40.
Accommodation in Moscow was more expensive with the average price of about $60 per day. Tourists who traveled to Kazan stayed there for at least 3 days and payed about about $45.
Krasnodar and Petrozavodsk took fourth and fifth places; travellers spent 2-3 days there.
Rostov-on-Don is number six. Its guests were staying for at least a couple of days and payed $30 on the average. Rooms in Yekaterinburg were a bit more expensive; the city took the seventh place.
Last positions in top 10 were taken by Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod and Tula. Nizhny Novgorod beat Moscow with the average price of room about 4202 rubles per day. Tourists payed only about $25 per day in Voronezh.
