Chinese students study Russian nearby Primorsky Krai border

The office of Yanbian University starts teaching Russian-speaking specialists in Hunchun, China near Primorsky Krai border. According to Primorskaya Gazeta, new campus is available for 8000 students.

Yanbian University collaborates with 7 universities in China and North Korea, and strives to start the full value educational exchange programs for students of Primorye. For now, Chinese philology students who study Russian are coming for practice. 

The University’s leaders also have plans for educational exchange with the students who study economics and law. Yanbian University already contacts with Far Eastern Federal University and Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service. Today 200 students of Hunchun office of Yanbian University study Russian language, and 60 more people study Russian translation, literature and linguistics. According to the Dean of Russian Language Faculty Zheng Yan, Russian is very demanded due to the bilateral relations between China and Russia, and this is why the University plans to teach more students who study the language.
