The Latvian Russian Union started another protest action against destruction of Russian education in Baltic republics, informs the organization's Аacebook.

First picket  took place yesterday, November 27. Participants have gathered nearby EU Parliament building. They called parliamentarians to pay attention to the current situation with linguistic minorities.

Defendants of Russian schools demand Brussels to stop educational reform which Riga wants to imply to prohibit Russian-language education. The demonstration organisers claimed that they won't give up and continue fight for the right of their kids to study in their native language.

As Russkiy Mir reported, The Latvian Russian Union has conducted march in defense of Russian schools in September, 15 2018. Several thousands people walked out Riga streets.

Note, on April 2 the Latvia's president Raimonds Vejonis approved the law, which eliminates education in the Russian language in the country. From 2020/21 all Russian schools are supposed to teach only in the Latvian language.
