Russian, European and Asian universities to develop innovative training program

A pilot master program for training specialists for intelligent energy will be launched in 2019-2020 by the specialists from 10 universities in Russia, France, Slovakia, Latvia and Vietnam. The joint project is implemented in the framework of the international inter-university project Erasmus +, TASS reports.

The project plans to create a modern system of training that would be in demand and embodied advanced educational technologies and techniques. Each university is developing its own individual disciplines, which will eventually turn into a single program. Ural Federal University (UrFU) develops courses in two directions: the generation and storage technology of electrical energy and artificial intelligence and machine learning in modern electric power systems. When the courses will be finished and tested, all participating universities will implement them.

The Erasmus+ project involves universities from France, Slovakia, Latvia and Vietnam. Russia is represented by five leading universities from Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Tomsk, Irkutsk and Yakutsk. The total budget of the project,  about 850 000 euros, is divided between the participating universities.

The project manager from UrFU Stanislav Eroshenko said that the joint scientific work will allow to acquire modern equipment, give the new competencies to professors, exchange students, increase the number of scientific publications and new scientific researches.
