Russian Seasons festival moves from Italy to Germany

The Russian Seasons project has moved from Italy to Germany, TASS reports. The solemn ceremony was held on November 15. It was timed to the International Cultural Forum which operates in the northern capital.

The deputy head of the Russian government, Olga Golodets, recalls that the Russian Seasons program in Italy completes in December. Next year Russian Seasons will be conducted in Germany. According to the deputy prime minister, they will start in the beginning of January 2019.

"We pass the baton of our friendship, our efforts in the field of culture from Italy to Germany", Olga Golodets adds.

Earlier Russkiy Mir reported that a large-scale cultural project will open in the Berliner Philharmonie. During 2019, the culture of various regions of Russia will be presented in German cities in different genres. The program, created as one integral project, should give residents of the Federal Republic of Germany a comprehensive image of Russia.

The Mariinsky Theater, Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre, Pushkin Theater, Saint Petersburg Eifman Ballet, orchestras under the batons of Yuri Bashmet and Valery Gergiev as well as Denis Matsuev. The program lasts till December 2019.

An extensive program distinguishes Russian Seasons in Italy. The organizers acquaint the Italian public with the best examples of classical and modern Russian art - ballet, painting, cinema, drama and even animation.

More than two million people in Italy attended concerts, festivals, exhibitions and other events that took place in the framework of the Russian Seasons. By the end of the year, their number will increase more than two times and reach six million. In total, the program of Russian Seasons includes more than 300 events in almost 90 cities.
