Famous Spainish traveler Alvaro de Marichalar has arrived on the Crimean peninsula, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes. Next summer he plans to go around the Crimea. Now he has only three days left and he is going to prepare a future route to study the border nuances and other issues.

Marichalar says that one of his ancestors, the duke of Osuna, was the Spanish ambassador to Russia. The voyage is not his the first one. He participated in almost forty expeditions, crossed the Atlantic by boat.

During the voyage, he is going to make a film dedicated to the Crimea in order to acquaint Europe with this amazing place which has become a stumbling block for international politics.

It is planned that the journey will take about ten days. It will begin on the shores of the Azov Sea.

Alvaro de Marichalar explained that he usually does not come close to the shore but he will make an exception this time. He says that he should visit the most interesting places in Crimea in order to shoot them for his future film. There will be no stops in big cities. He is more attracted to small villages, wineries, fish-smoking shops. Most tourists usually do not reward such places with their attention.

Meanwhile, he has had a dream for a long time - to visit Yalta and Sevastopol. It will be fulfilled soon.

Arriving to the Crimea, the Spanish nobleman did not suspect that this visit would cause hatred in Ukraine. The traveler admits that the inclusion in the list of undesirable people for Kiev after visiting the peninsula was a complete surprise to him.
