Russian club in Australia celebrated its 94th birthday with Kalinka, Katiusha, and Moscow Nights songs. Russian compatriots of three generations from Sydney and other cities gathered to celebrate, Austrian newspaper Yedinenie reported.

Russian club does a lot to consolidate compatriots of different ages and backgrounds. Plays, exhibitions, music nights and Russian balls held by the club are frequently visited by Sydney authorities.

There are many Harbin natives among the Russian club members. This Chinese city has become Russian at the beginning of 19th century. In the middle of 20th century many of these people have moved to Australia. Harbin school graduates from 1958 celebrated 60 years since finishing the school. They were greeted by all participants. Ex-Harbin school students have reminded that many of their peers have moved back to USSR despite uncertainty and long distance 60 years ago.

Sydney authorities have mentioned once again that Russian community have contributed a lot in cultural uniqueness of the country.
