FIFA: the World Cup in Russia was the best in history

The World Cup, which took place in our country this summer, was named the best in the history of the tournament. ТАSS reported about it following meeting of the Council of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). It was held on October 26 in Rwanda. 

According to Aleksey Sorokin, one of members of the FIFA Council, the report on all particulars of the conducted World Cup was presented at the meeting. The Council approved the paper and unanimously agreed that the tournament was more successful than any previous one in all respects.

As it turned out, the World Cup in Russia managed to break lots of records. The Council also saluted to some innovations that our country had implemented in tourism. And those alongside with free transportation for fans, as well as Fan IDs and many other things. 

As the Russkiy Mir reported earlier, over the past five years the gross domestic product (GDP) of our country received more than nine hundred billion rubles in consequence of conducting the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
