The British government has not found any facts confirming the alleged Moscow intervention to the domestic affairs of the country. The British ministers have also no evidence that Russia allegedly influenced the results of the Brexit referendum, TASS reports.

This is the response provided by the Russian government to the request of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee of the British Parliament.

A year ago, British Prime Minister Theresa May declared that Moscow used information as a weapon. The official accused Russia of spreading false information to increase discord among Western countries. May also stressed that Russia allegedly tried to undermine UK democratic institutions.

According to Russkiy Mir, she accused Moscow of the illegal Crimea annexation, participation in the Ukrainian conflict, cyber espionage and hacker attacks as well as interference in elections in several countries.

Earlier Washington has repeatedly accused Moscow of allegedly interfering in the presidential elections in 2016. The same rumors regularly occur in other countries. A former British foreign minister Boris Johnson bewared of Russia's possible intervention in the British parliamentary elections last summer. Meanwhile, no facts proving this intervention were detected.
