Russian Film Week to show over 50 films in Britain

The program of the Russian Film Week 2018 in Britain includes more than 50 films, TASS reports.

There is Avdotia Smirnova’s film The Story of An Appointment, the directorial debut of Konstantin Khabensky Sobibor, Coach by Danila Kozlovsky etc. The organizers plan to show the films Going Vertical and Dovlatov. Part of the fees got from the latter will be granted to support beginner writers.

The Last Knight film is planned to be shown to Russian cinema fans.

The third film festival starts in the British capital on November 25.

According to the organizers, the most significant directors, screenwriters and producers will gather at the forum. Creative meetings and discussions will be held in London, the audience will communicate with many famous figures of the Russian cinema.

Samoel Katsev. The real Lenfilm  exhibition of photographs will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the film studio. An evening in memory of Oleg Tabakov will also be held.

According to festival founder and General Producer Filip Perkon, now when relations between Russia and Great Britain can not be called prosperous, the festival is very important. He claims that it is culture that continues to unite the two countries.

This year the festival expands. London as well as Edinburgh, Cambridge and Oxford will host it.

The Golden Unicorn Award final ceremony granted in twelve nominations will finalize the festival.
