The participants of the two-day Strategic Planning Leaders Forum in Saint Petersburg will discuss transport innovations, maritime cooperation, environmental issues, tourism and regional development. The forum gathers more than fifty leading experts in various fields from seventeen, TASS reports. Specialists from the USA, European Union, Great Britain, Japan and other continents has come to Saint Petersburg.

The occasion opened with a plenary session and a round table discussing the improvement of infrastructure in cities, development of tourism and environment. The leaders of European organizations for cross-border cooperation are among the speakers. The first day will end with the presentation of international awards for the transport systems development.

The second day of the forum will focus on the introduction of innovative and environmentally friendly technical solutions for automobile and other urban transport. Leading transport analysts have come to Saint Petersburg to discuss these issues recognized by experts as one of the most vital in the modern world. The development of maritime cooperation will be discussed at a special discussion organized by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the end of the forum, guests will hold a seminar on territories development best practices proven their effectiveness in different countries.
