Russian President Vladimir Putin meets with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on October 17 in Sochi, RIA Novosti reports.

"Further cooperation boosting between the countries" will be on talks' agenda. The states' leaders will consider a wide range of issues including cooperation in the military and technical sphere, the construction of a nuclear power plant in Egypt and a direct flights resumption between Russia and Egypt. At the end of the talks several joint documents will be signed.

The official visit of the Egyptian President to Russia began the day before. In Moscow he met with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko.

According to al-Sisi, negotiations with Vladimir Putin are a very important step towards bilateral cooperation development.

The leaders of the two countries will also discuss the international agenda. The presidents are planning to discuss Syria, Libya, Yemen and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict resolution.

The direct flights resumption remains to be the key issue. The restoration of tourist charter flights to Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh are discussed recently.

As Russkiy Mir reported, Moscow-Cairo flights were launched in spring.

Air service between Russia and Egypt was closed in 2015 after the attack committed on a Russian firm plane. A terrorist was able to carry the explosives into the plane at Sharm El Sheikh airport. The explosion carried lives of more than 200 passengers and seven crew members.

Russian air travel security experts have repeatedly examined Egyptian airports.
