Russian Film Days in India visited by 3000 spectators

About 3000 people have attended the Russian Film Days Festival in India, TASS reports.

According to festival producer Maria Lemesheva, the occasion takes place in three cities: New Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. The latter hosted the event for the first time. She notes that Russian cinema is popular in India. The festival was held for the fourth time and over the years the number of spectators exceeded up to 18.000 people.

The organizers try to choose the most interesting works of Russian directors. The film festival is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the development of Russian cinema.

Anna Churina, Alisa Grebenshchikova, Valentina Mazunina, Artem Tkachenko and etc. presented the new Russian films. They told about their work.

The festival began with The Last Trial by Alexey Petrukhin. It is based on the story of the 2002 Nord-Ost siege. The film was shown in India a few weeks earlier than its release in Russia.

According to Russkiy Mir, viewers in India saw the films named Ice, The Age of Pioneers, Gogol. The Beginning, Hello, Oksana Sokolova!, The Last Knight, the cartoon Sheep and Wolves.
