The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRA) called dangerous the statements that Washington is ready to destroy new Russian missiles which development, according to the US, contradicts the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty), TASS reports.

According to the MFA spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, it seems that people who say such things do not understand the degree of their responsibility. They also ignore the dangers of such aggressive rhetoric, Maria Zakharova says commenting the speech of the US Representative to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Western diplomats will need to cope with the consequences of their mistakes, the MFA representative adds. There is no doubt that nothing around is worth to be destroyed. It will be much more difficult to fix it.

Maria Zakharova assured that Russian military experts will find a response to the threats from Washington.

Later a US representative in the North Atlantic Alliance hurried to justify herself. In one of the social networks, she wrote that she was “misunderstood” - she simply called on Russia to follow the agreements of the INF Treaty.
