Antonov: Russian-language media consolidates diaspora

Russian language media play important part in preserving Russian language and culture among compatriots, according to the Head of US Russian Mission Anatoly Antonov.

According to him, not only in America but in the whole world the media is reliable source of objective information, TASS reports. In his presentation at the Russian Media Congress Antonov has marked that Russian-language media consolidates diaspora and supports cultural and business life in complicated international situation. 

There are no doubts that the congress helps to share experience, create many contacts and discuss new ideas, help to develop professional contacts and discuss new ideas. Apart of that forums like these play important role to consolidate community.

Diplomat has also expressed the hope that Russian media overseas will not forget about the commemoration dates of the famous writers: Turgenev, Solzhenitsyn, Aitmatov, Pushkin. 

In his turn, the WARP President Vitaly Ignatenko marked that the forum participants have proposed to hold courses of the contemporary management of the print and online media. WARP is ready to to lend their active support in organizing it.
